Terms of service

Version 2026-11-03, 3 November 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Dramatis.ai. Dramatis.ai operates Opsis and also operates the Dramatis app. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dramatis.ai. "You" means the person or company that holds an Opsis account.

Opsis is an API and a studio for generating images, video, speech and text. It is offered at opsis.dramatis.ai and api.opsis.dramatis.ai, together with its console, Studio, documentation and software development kits. In these terms, all of these together are "the Service".

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Service.

If you accept these terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity. References to "you" then mean that entity.

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we keep, for how long, and who else receives it. It is a separate document.

2. The beta

Opsis is in an invitation-only beta. You can sign up only with an invitation.

During the beta, features, engines, limits and prices may change more often than they will later. Some features may not be offered yet, including payment by card. Where these terms describe a feature we do not yet offer, that part applies once we offer it.

3. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You confirm this when you sign up. We do not knowingly provide the Service to anyone under 18. If we learn that an account holder is under 18, we may suspend and close the account.

Each account has one holder. The Service has no teams, and you must not share your account's sign-in.

You must not use the Service if the law forbids you to, or if we closed an account of yours for a breach of these terms.

Where the Service is offered

We do not offer the Service in these places: mainland China, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Macau, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei.

We check where requests come from. We also check the country you give at sign-up and when you top up. A request from one of these places is refused.

Using a VPN, a proxy or any other tool to appear to be elsewhere does not make the Service available to you. Doing so breaches these terms.

We may change this list, for example on legal advice. The report page and these legal pages stay open in every country, so anyone can reach them.

4. Your account and API keys

When you sign up, you agree to give accurate, current and complete information, and to keep it up to date. You must verify your email address before you can create a key, top up or use the playground.

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your password and your API keys confidential;
  • all activity under your account, including every call made with any of its keys; and
  • every charge that activity creates.

An API key is shown once, when you create it. We keep only a keyed hash of it, so we cannot recover a lost key. You can give a key an expiry date, spending limits and a list of engines it may use. Any key of your account can read all of your account's tasks. If you think a key has leaked, delete it at once and create a new one.

We may refuse a sign-up, or suspend or close an account, where we reasonably suspect that its keys or password have been compromised, or that it is being used in breach of these terms.

We send you emails about your account and the Service. They include emails about:

  • an invitation;
  • sign-up and password resets;
  • a suspension;
  • a refund or a dispute;
  • a failed automatic top-up, when we offer automatic top-up;
  • an engine you use being retired;
  • changes to these terms; and
  • a scheduled closure.

These emails are part of the Service and cannot be turned off.

5. Your responsibility for what you make

Opsis does not check content. We do not scan, rewrite or classify your prompts, your inputs or your results. We do not review requests before they run.

This means the responsibility sits with you. You are responsible for:

  • what you submit, including prompts, images, audio, video, references and the LoRAs you choose;
  • what you generate; and
  • what you do with the results, including where you publish or share them.

You are also responsible for following the laws that apply to you, to your audience and to the places where your results are seen.

Some engines have a filter of their own. Our model list marks them as engines that may refuse a request. A refusal by such an engine is the only content refusal you can receive from Opsis. An engine that does not refuse a request is not telling you that the request or the result is lawful.

6. Prohibited uses

These limits apply to everything you do with the Service: your prompts, your inputs, your results, the text you send and the text you receive. They apply whichever engine you use, and whether the engine accepts the request or not.

Absolute limits

You must not use the Service to create, request, edit or share:

  • sexual content that involves a minor, or anyone who appears to be under 18, in any style, including drawings, animation and fiction;
  • anything made from an image, video or voice of a real child, for any purpose;
  • intimate or sexual imagery of an identifiable real person without that person's documented consent, including by face swap, head swap, "undressing" or any other transfer of a likeness;
  • content that uses a real person's name, face, voice or likeness to harm, harass, threaten, defame, extort or deceive them or others, or to impersonate them; or
  • content that is unlawful where you are, where your audience is, or where we are.

You must not use text generation to write or request sexual content involving minors, in any form, fiction included.

Other prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection to one;
  • get around the regional limits, the spending limits, the limits on your keys or any other access control;
  • probe or test the Service, or any system behind it, for weaknesses;
  • disrupt the Service or slow it down for others; or
  • break any law or regulation that applies to you or to your use of the Service.

Using the Service through its API, its SDKs and your own software is the intended use. That is not prohibited conduct.

What we do on a report

Anyone can report content on the report page or by writing to us. No account is needed. A report names the content by its link or its task id.

When we receive a report, we acknowledge it, assess it, and act on it. A report from someone who says they appear in the content is handled first.

If we find a breach of these terms, we may do one or more of the following:

  • delete the content of a task;
  • turn off a feature for your account;
  • switch off an engine, or restrict who may use it;
  • suspend your account;
  • schedule your account's closure; and
  • place a legal hold, which keeps a copy of the content and the related records beyond their normal retention.

When we need an account to stop at once, we suspend it first.

We decide, acting reasonably, what counts as a breach of this section and which action fits it.

You can appeal a decision by writing to opsis@dramatis.ai .

Content that shows a real person needs that person's consent. These rules apply:

  • Intimate depictions. You must hold documented consent from every real person you depict in an intimate or sexual way. You must keep that consent and give it to us when we ask.
  • Face swap. The face-swap tool is offered only to accounts we enable it for. If you use it, you must hold documented consent from every person whose face you use, whatever the result shows. You must give it to us when we ask.
  • Video first frames. A photograph of a real person used as the first frame of a video falls under the same rules. If the video is intimate, it is an intimate depiction of that person.
  • References. Before you upload references in Studio, you accept the References agreement. It covers the pictures and voices of real people that you upload.

A photo being public is not consent. Content you cannot show consent for is treated as made without consent.

If you do not give us the consent when we ask, we may act as section 6 describes.

8. Customers with their own end users

If you build a product on Opsis and let other people use it, you must:

  • pass these terms on to your users, including the prohibited uses and the consent rules;
  • apply the age checks and content controls that your audience and your countries require;
  • give your users a way to report content, and act on their reports; and
  • stay responsible for what your users do with the Service.

We do not verify the age or identity of your users. Their use of Opsis through your product counts as your use under these terms.

9. Your content and our licence

"Your content" means what you submit to the Service: prompts, images, audio, video, references, Studio messages, webhook addresses and the other inputs you send. It also means the results the Service generates for you.

You keep the rights you have in your content.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process and transmit your content, only as far as we need to operate the Service for you. This includes sending it to the engines and providers that run your request. It also includes keeping it where the law or a legal hold requires.

We do not train any model on your prompts or your results. We do not use them to improve engines.

You confirm that:

  • you own your content, or you have the rights you need to submit it and to grant the licence above;
  • your content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of anyone else; and
  • your content complies with these terms and with the law.

Removal. We may remove or disable access to any content that we reasonably believe breaches these terms, the law or the rights of others.

How long we keep results

By default, we keep your results and their inputs until you delete them or close your account. You can set a shorter period for your account, or for a single task. You can delete a task's content at any time. Once content is deleted, we cannot restore it. Keep your own copy of anything you need. The Privacy Policy sets out every period.

10. Generated results

Results are generated by machine-learning models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected or unsuitable. We make no promise about the accuracy, quality, originality or fitness for any purpose of any result.

You are solely responsible for reviewing a result and deciding whether it is suitable before you rely on it, publish it or share it.

We claim no ownership of your results. As between you and us, you may use them, subject to these terms and to the law. Some engines' licences may limit how their results can be used. We do not promise that a result is free of other people's rights, or that the law will protect it as your own work. In many places, content made by a machine alone may not be protected by copyright.

If an engine returns something that these terms prohibit, you must not use it. The prohibited uses apply to it as they apply to anything you create.

11. Engines, providers and LoRAs

Opsis runs engines in different ways. We run some ourselves, on our own machines or on cloud GPU providers. Others are run by outside providers, reached through a routing service. An outside provider receives what your request needs: the prompt and any image, frame or audio it includes. It processes them under its own terms.

An outside provider may refuse a request, apply its own data practices, or change or withdraw a model. We are not responsible for what outside providers do or fail to do. Listing an engine is not an endorsement of it.

We hold the licences we need to offer the engines. We do not show a licence for each engine.

LoRAs from Civitai

Some engines accept LoRAs that you name from Civitai. Each LoRA is published by its creator under its own licence. You are responsible for choosing LoRAs whose licence allows your use, and for following that licence. We download the LoRAs you name with our own Civitai account. We check each one before your task runs, but we do not review what it was trained on.

Changes and retirement

We may add, change or retire engines.

  • An engine in our model list marked "beta" may change or be withdrawn without notice.
  • Before we retire any other engine, we give at least 14 days' notice. The notice appears in the model list and in a Deprecation header on tasks that use it. We also email accounts that used the engine.
  • During the beta, we may retire an engine with less notice.
  • After the retirement date, requests for that engine are refused. We do not send them to another engine, because a different engine produces a different result.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, and we work to a target for our own part of it. That target is not a commitment. We do not offer a service level agreement, and we do not give credits for downtime.

12. Text generation

Opsis also generates text, through POST /v1/text and in Studio. A text call goes to an outside text model, which each call names. In Studio, Agent mode and Enhance prompt make text calls. A message in Image or Video mode goes straight to the engine you picked and makes no text call.

The text model may refuse, or give a reply that makes no image or video. In Agent mode, the text model can start images and videos for you. We start each one at once, and each is charged at its price. You can stop Agent mode. An image or video that has already started still finishes and is charged.

We do not store the messages or the reply of a /v1/text call. We keep only the charge in your ledger. Studio conversations are kept as your results are.

13. Prices and payment

You pay for what you generate from a prepaid balance in US dollars. There are no subscriptions and no free tier.

Our prices are shown on the pricing page and in the model list. Depending on the engine, a result is charged per image, per second of video, per character of speech, or per text call. Stored files are charged daily, beyond a free part. A task is charged at the price shown when it is created. A price change applies to tasks created after it. A task keeps the price it was accepted at.

A top-up fee applies to each top-up. It is shown at checkout, before you pay, and is not refunded.

Payments. Stripe processes payments. Stripe collects and stores your card details under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers. Receipts are Stripe's. Your card statement and receipt may name Dramatis.

Taxes. Tax is calculated at checkout. Your balance is credited with the amount before tax. You are responsible for all taxes, duties and levies that arise from your use of the Service, unless the law says otherwise.

Automatic top-up. Where we offer it, automatic top-up is off until you turn it on. You choose the balance at which it runs and the amount it adds. If a charge fails, we turn it off and email you.

Granted balance. We may add balance to your account ourselves, for example during the beta. Each grant appears in your ledger with a note.

14. Refunds

This section says what happens to your balance when a task fails, when you ask for a refund, when a payment is disputed, and when an account closes.

Tasks

Each task is charged from your balance when it is created.

  • A task that fails is refunded in full, whatever the reason: a fault on our side or the engine's, a bad input, a cancellation or a timeout. The refund goes back to your balance automatically.
  • One exception: some engines charge for a refusal. The model list marks them. A task that such an engine refuses is charged.
  • A task that succeeds is charged, even if you do not like the result.
  • A request we refuse before a task exists costs nothing. This includes a request that fails validation, exceeds your balance or limits, or names a LoRA or image that cannot be used.

Text calls

A text call is charged after it runs, once its cost is known.

  • A call that returns no output is not charged.
  • A call that the model refuses is not charged.
  • A streamed reply that has already sent text is charged.

A balance below zero

A text call or the daily storage charge can take your balance below zero. New tasks and calls are then refused until you top up. Your account is not suspended for this.

Refund of a top-up

You can ask for a refund of unused balance within 24 hours of a top-up. The refund goes back to the card you paid with. The top-up fee is not refunded.

We may also refund a top-up ourselves. Your balance then falls by the refunded amount, and it may go below zero. If a refund we make takes your balance below zero, your account is suspended until you repay it. Tax on a refunded payment is returned through Stripe, not through your balance.

Expiry

Unused balance may expire 365 days after its purchase.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with a payment, please write to us first. We can usually fix it faster than a dispute can.

When a payment dispute opens, your balance falls by the disputed amount and your account is suspended, whatever your balance. If the dispute is decided in our favour, we restore the amount and lift the suspension. If it is decided against us, the reduced balance and the suspension both stay.

A closed account

When your account closes, its remaining balance is not paid out. Our ledger keeps the record of it.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in this section takes away any right to a refund that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

15. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, API, SDKs, documentation, site and design, belongs to us or to our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the Service as they describe. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

If you give us suggestions, ideas or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them in the Service, with no obligation to you.

If you believe content made with the Service infringes your copyright or another right of yours, write to opsis@dramatis.ai . Please include:

  • the work or right you say is infringed;
  • the link or task id of the content;
  • how we can contact you; and
  • a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act for them.

You can also use the report page. An account holder whose content is removed after a notice may reply to us at the same address.

16. Suspension and closure

Suspension

We may suspend, limit or close your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that:

  • you have breached these terms or the law;
  • your account is being used in a way that could harm the Service, other users or anyone else; or
  • suspension or closure is required to comply with a legal obligation.

We also suspend an account when a payment dispute opens, or when a refund we make takes its balance below zero, as section 14 says.

A suspended account cannot start new tasks or create new keys. You can still sign in, read your tasks and top up.

Closing your account

You can ask to close your account in the console. The closure takes effect 14 days later. Until then, your keys and new tasks keep working, and you can undo the closure in the console.

We may also schedule a closure. It also takes effect after 14 days. Only we can undo it, so write to us if you think it is a mistake. When we need an account to stop at once, we suspend it first.

Each time a closure is scheduled, we email you the date and how to undo it.

On the closing date:

  • tasks still waiting to run are cancelled and refunded;
  • tasks already running are allowed to finish;
  • your content, uploads, conversations, keys, sign-in and webhook settings are deleted; and
  • your profile is reduced to an id and a date.

We keep the ledger. If content is under a legal hold, we keep it until the hold ends, even though the account is closed to you. The remaining balance is not paid out, as section 14 says.

You can sign up again later with the same email address. That creates a new account.

Once your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue do so. These include sections 5 to 15 and 17 to 23, and the refund rules in section 14.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not promise that:

  • the Service will meet your requirements;
  • the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
  • any errors or defects will be corrected;
  • any engine will stay available; or
  • results will be accurate, complete, reliable or suitable for any purpose.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have as a consumer that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

18. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

  1. No indirect loss. Dramatis.ai, its affiliates, directors, employees and licensors are not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages. This includes loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption and the cost of substitute services. It applies however the loss arises and under any theory of liability.
  2. A cap. Our total liability to you for all claims arising from these terms or the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Balance we granted is not an amount you paid.
  3. The basis of the bargain. These limits are an essential part of the agreement between us. Without them, we could not offer the Service on these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Dramatis.ai and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from:

  • your use of the Service;
  • your content, including your inputs and your results;
  • your product and your end users, and what they do with the Service;
  • your breach of these terms; or
  • your breach of anyone else's rights, including intellectual property, privacy and likeness rights.

20. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version and date at the top show which text applies.

When we publish a new version, we email every account that is not closed. The console also shows you the new version when you next sign in, and asks you to accept it. The API keeps working while a new version waits for your acceptance.

If you keep using the Service after the new version takes effect, you accept it. If you do not agree to it, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.

21. Governing law and disputes

This version does not yet name the law that governs these terms or the courts that hear disputes about them. A later version will state both, and we will email you when it is published.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Before you start a dispute, please write to us. Most problems can be solved that way.

22. General

Entire agreement. These terms, our Privacy Policy, and any agreement you accept in the Service, such as the References agreement, are the whole agreement between you and Dramatis.ai about the Service. They replace any earlier agreement about it.

Severability. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, it is changed as little as needed to make it enforceable. The rest stays in full force.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a part of these terms, we have not given up the right to enforce it.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or duties under these terms without our written consent. We may assign ours at any time without notice.

23. Contact
