How long results are kept
A task's images and its input, the prompt and the rest, are kept together and removed together. The default is Never: kept until you delete them. You choose the time:
- For the account, in the console settings, Never, or anywhere from 10 minutes to 14 days. A change applies to tasks created after it.
- For one task, with
retention_secondson the create call, from 10 minutes up to the account's setting. It can shorten the account's setting, never lengthen it. Under Never, a task may ask for up to 14 days. - After a task finishes, with
PATCH /v1/tasks/{id}/contentand{ "expires_at": "<timestamp>" }ornullfor Never. Content that has already expired or been deleted cannot be brought back.
Never
With Never, a task's images and input are kept until you delete them, with DELETE /v1/tasks/{id}/content or in the console, or until the account is closed. Such a task reads content.state present with expires_at null, and the task itself is kept as long. Kept files are charged as storage, below.
One clock covers images and input. When it runs out, content.state of the task is expired, and input and output are null. A signed link stops working at the same moment.
Delete sooner
You can delete a task's content at any time once its status is final, with DELETE /v1/tasks/{id}/content. content.state becomes deleted. See Tasks.
Deleting does not change what was charged, and the task and its ledger entries stay.
What else is kept
Storage is charged by the day
The files you keep are charged once a day, as one Storage entry in your ledger: your results, their small copies and your uploads. Each account stores a part free. The price and the free part are on Pricing. A shorter retention, or deleting content you no longer need, stores less.
Storage and Never
Opsis stores your images only as long as you ask. It does not use your prompts or images to train anything, and there is no gallery that others can see. Never means Opsis holds your results until you delete them, charged as storage above, so set a time when you do not need them kept.
A signed link works for one hour, and every read of the task returns a fresh one. Store the task id, and the image if you need it longer than retention.
Video
A video task's clip and its poster are kept and removed together with the rest of its content, on the same clock: Never by default, and the same setting for the account and for one task. Deleting the content removes the clip and the poster within seconds. Download the clip within its retention; see Video.
